Adnan is a Grierson-winning and RTS-nominated director with a reputation for crafting cinematic films that explore complex and sensitive subjects. Recent credits include Big Zuu Goes to Mecca (BBC2), hailed by The Guardian as “a quietly revolutionary portrait of Islam” and Manhunt (Channel 4) following an elite police unit. He also filmed across the BAFTA-winning series The Detectives (BBC2). A skilled self-shooter, Adnan has made programmes for Netflix, Nat Geo, The BBC and Channel 4 in a career spanning over 20 years, as well as working on international feature docs from The Trouble with Mr Doodle (ACME Films & Lightbox) to Street Kids United, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. He is a trained broadcast journalist with valid i-Visa and is hostile environment (HEFAT) trained.
